About Me

Who Am I?My name's Warren - I came to the UK from South Africa 20+ years ago. I lived in London for a decade before settling in Dorset, and now live in Poole


What I Bring To Your JobsI've been in the industry for over 10 years now. I started with a local man and van, and since then have worked for several larger removals companies based in Bournemouth. I've done everything from studio flats, to office relocations, to Sandbanks mansions. I'm experienced in leading teams and running jobs independently from start to finish.
I know how to keep a job moving, coordinating with other porters, and handling things properly when things go wrong. I don't need constant direction - you can hand me a job and trust it'll get done right. I'm also great with all types of customers - I've got high standards and I know what it takes to lock in an excellent review.

I'd be putting all my eggs in one basket hoping I'd get the hours. BOOKING & AVAILABILITYHow do I book you?
Please use the contact form to send me a message with the details. This goes directly to my email and I'd aim to respond as soon as possible, usually immediately or within the hour.Can you work last-minute?
Absolutely. Send me a message anytime and I'll immediately confirm if I can jump on.What's your availability like?
If I'm not booked for a job then I'm usually available 24/7 if need be (weekends included). You can book me weeks ahead - or for small last minute jobs I'm more than happy to fit them in if I can.Do you have backup if you're unavailable?
You'd never get a no-show from me - but if there's an emergency and I can't make it, you'll get notified as soon as. If that's the case, I do have contacts and trusted people I've worked with for years to fill in for me if necessary.What's your cancellation policy?
I know customers cancel frequently and things get rearranged, so if I'm available we'll book a different day. All I ask is for you to let me know as soon as possible if a booked job gets cancelled so I have enough time to make other plans.What if a job runs late?
It comes with the territory and I'm well used to late finishes, so I don't charge extra for 'overtime'.

COVERAGE & TRANSPORTWhat areas do you cover?
I'm based in Bournemouth and have my own transport - coverage really depends on the job location. If I'm required to meet somewhere further afield, contact me with the details and I'll confirm availability.Do you have your own wheels?
I have a light van for my own personal transport - which I'd use to meet you at the job. I'm available as labour-only, but I'm fully licensed and experienced driving removal vans up to 3.5 tonnes including hire vans.Can you do evening/overnight moves?
Yes I'm prepared to do overnight long distance jobs (providing accommodation etc is covered).

RATES & TERMSWhat's your rate and travel charge?
Probably less than you'd think - I'd need to know details such as location, portering/driving etc. Obviously I'd like my services to be affordable, so tell me what your crew are on and we'll go from there.Do you require minimum booking hours?
Typically a 3-hour minimum, which might be flexible for quick local jobs depending on the situation/location. If a minimum booking doesn't suit you, let me know why and I'll try to accommodate.Do you offer day rates?
Day rates only ever benefit one party depending on job length. Either you end up paying me more than you needed to, or I earn less than I should have. I consistently work hard and keep a good pace - so with an hourly rate you always get good value for money.What are your payment terms?
Unless we have an ongoing relationship, it's payment immediately upon job completion - please be ready with cash or transfer at the end of the day.What do you wear to the job?
I'm always presentable - usually in black cargo's and stretchy gym shirts. I have no problem wearing your uniform if available - my goal is to give your customer a good impression of your company.

SKILLS & CAPABILITIESCan you do assembly?
Yes I worked in trades before removals, so I'm good with my hands and using tools. I've taken apart and reassembled most everything over the years.Can you do packing?
Yes - I'm trained and very experienced with full pack jobs. I'm quite meticulous about fragiles and preventing breakages in transit - your customers stuff will get to the destination in one piece.Can you disconnect appliances?
Yes, as well as reconnect them if you want me to. From washing machines to American fridge freezer doors - I'll handle them.Do you bring your own tools?
I have my own personal tools generally, but I provide a labour only service.Can you handle speciality items?
Yes - lots of experience moving gym equipment including machine dismantling / reassembly. Safes, commercial printers, valuable artwork, awkward / fragile items. I'll help move anything within reason, as long as proper planning and safety is considered.Have you done piano moves?
Yes - both upright and baby grands. If you need help moving a piano please make sure you have a plan in place, enough hands on deck and the proper equipment.

JOB TYPESHave you worked on storage jobs?
I've spent years working for companies based out of self storage and container facilities, so I've got heaps of experience putting customers into and out of storage. I'm very good at stacking out a unit and protecting items.Have you done office relocations?
Yes loads - general office furniture / equipment, as well as whole company and phased moves.Do you do clearances?
I've done loads in my time but unless it's a safe working environment with proper health and safety considerations, PPE etc, I prefer to steer clear.
